Regular blog readers will no doubt be aware that we are always on the look out for “non Lotto” jackpots and rollover jackpots which are good value for our blog readers.
So in our continuing quest for non Lottery related rollover a decent bet has caught our attention , and once again it’s the Pick 4 from Colossus Bets . The Sunday Pick 4 has rolled over and features an estimated jackpot of £1 million which is certainly worth some serious consideration for this weekend’s betting activities !
The current amount of money in Sunday’s Pick 4 pool is £587,469 with £332,660 in the rollover fund – so at the time of writing this blog post ( midday on Saturday) there is a potential £920k up for grabs with the expected pool to rise to circa £1 million by the first kick off time at 1500 on Sunday afternoon when Hull City take on Manchester United and Newcastle United take on West Ham United in the “Survival Sunday” games .
So , the chance to win circa £1 million for forecasting four correct scores is certainly worth a punt ! – the four games in the Sunday Pick 4 rollover are as as follows :
Hull City v Manchester United
Newcastle United v West Ham United
Preston North End v Swindon Town
Middlesbrough v Norwich City
The first three games will be played on Sunday 24th May with the fourth game being played on Monday 25th May .
The Sunday Pick 4 rollover features two games from the final Premier League fixtures ( a.k.a. Survival Sunday ) plus the League One Playoff final and the Championship Play off Final .
The appeal of this unique bet is that they allow fractional cash-in , so if for instance you called the games on Sunday correctly you would have to opportunity to cash in all or part of your bet before the game being played on Monday . With a potential win fund of circa £1 million for a £2 stake this is certainly worth consideration for this weekend’s betting activities !

The LottoPlan team were somewhat perplexed last week when some of the UK’s National newspapers were carrying reports of Lottery players in the UK becoming disinterested in the UK Lotto And Euromillions games . This was a surprise as both our first hand knowledge and anecdotal evidence would point , in fact to a contrary opinion , i.e. that the UK Lotto and Euromillions games are more popular than ever and experience widespread support and interest.
So why the negative stories in the mainstream national press ? – it comes from the simple fact that UK National Lottery operator Camelot ,owned by the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan published it’s end of year statement for the year ending 31st March 2014 showing a drop in sales from £6.98 billion in 2012/13 to £6.73 billion in 2013/14.
The conclusion drawn was that the drop from £6.98 billion to £6.73 billion in sales was due to disenchantment with the UK Lotto/Euromillions however upon inspection you can soon see that there are mitigating factors that easily explain the slight drop in sales namely :
The 2012/13 figure was an exceptional figure due to the London Olympics in 2012
A special 100 Millionaires Raffle was held on the night of the Olympics opening ceremony which was a one -off not to be repeated event
2013/14 saw significantly fewer Euromillions rollovers than the year before
There were no extended rollovers beyond 10 rolls in 2013/14 compared to three in 2012/13 which delivered almost £200 million in additional sales
So , in summary the sales figure for 2013/14 are very good , the second highest total since the National Lottery launched in 1994 , sales increased in the second half of the year due to the restructuring of the UK Lotto game, and sales of Instant Play games were also up 3.8% to a record £2.14 billion !
It’s also worth remembering that in 2013/14 Camelot raised £1.75 billion for National Lottery Good Causes which means that over £31 billion has been raised in total with over 430,000 individual awards being made across the United Kingdom.
Well , now that national press story is debunked let’s concentrate on the Euromillions Draw tomorrow night – looks worth a punt !
News reaches Lottoplan HQ from across the pond that once again the Mega Millions jackpot is reaching very interesting levels . The estimated jackpot for the draw on Tuesday 18th March 2014 is $400 million , with a cash option of $224 million.
The $400 million estimated jackpot is the third largest jackpot in the Mega Millions game’s history – the record being set at $656 million in March 2012 followed by the second highest $648 million in December 2013.
With a jackpot this big this is surely worth as punt – we recommend the folks at The Lotter who give overseas Lotto fans the opportunity to enter the draw , click here to go to their website.
After the recent Lottery based excitement across the pond concerning the giant Powerball Lottery the LottoPlan team notice that the US Mega Millions Lottery jackpot isn’t looking too shabby either !
The third largest MegaMillions jackpot will be on offer in the next draw on Tuesday 25th February with an estimated $195 million prize up for grabs . The estimated cash option for the forthcoming draw is $107 million.
The estimated $195 million jackpot occurs because in the last MegaMillions draw on Friday night no ticket holders matched the five main numbers and the Megaball.
Two lucky ticket holders from Pennsylvania and Virginia did match the five main numbers but did not have the Megaball – both ticket holders won $1 million , a nice consolation prize !
The winning numbers from Friday night’s MegaMillions draw were – 23-29-32-45-46 , the Megaball was 15.
The record MegaMillions jackpot is $656 million set on 30th March 2012 , Tuesday’s estimated jackpot is still well short of the record but surely worth consideration.
As always the folks at The Lotter offer Lottery enthusiasts not based in the US an opportunity to play – click here to go to The Lotter website !
